Creating a New Library

The objects and functionality in any document are largely determined by the libraries loaded in that document. You can add new objects, renderings and functionality by creating your own libraries. Libraries are created in locations.

To create a new library:

  1. Open the Location List by selecting Edit > Location list... from the main menu. you can also create new libraries from the Edit References dialog (in the Document Explorer, right-click on References and select Edit References).
  2. Right-click one of the locations in the Location List dialog and select Add new library.... You can also create a new location by either selecting one of the buttons under Add Location on the right of the dialog. You can only add libraries to Local or Development locations.
  3. In the Add New library dialog, enter the file name for the new library and select Ok.
